Families, Caring and Relationships

Young people and families

NHS Lanarkshire now has a comprehensive online service directory of mental health resources for children and young people. The Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) also has its own page explaining more about what it offers.

WellbeingSouthLan

This new website is for people in South Lanarkshire aged 10-26, and those supporting them. Co-designed with young people, it is full of resources about dealing with difficulties and boosting wellbeing, and has lots of links to local and online supports.

Kooth: wellbeing for young people

Kooth is a free, anonymous online mental health and wellbeing service for young people aged 10-18. It offers a safe space for accessing therapeutic content, including peer support. It is now available across Lanarkshire.

Lanarkshire Carers

A vital resource for carers across Lanarkshire to access information, advice and direct support services.

The Scottish Commission for People with Learning Disabilities

The SCLD’s vision is a fairer Scotland where people with learning disabilities live full, safe, loving and equal lives. It provides a knowledge hub with lots of information.

Other Useful Organisations

Citizens Advice Scotland

Citizens Advice can link you to free, confidential help for a range of problems, including money, housing and relationships. If you’re looking for support and don’t quite know where to turn, they can be a great place to start.

SARCS

SARCS is the Sexual Assault Response Coordination Service: a dedicated NHS resource which can offer care and support after an assault, if you’re not ready to go to the police.

Supporting people using mental health services, and carers, Lanarkshire Links is a strong, friendly, campaigning organisation.
