Who we are
ABOUT NHS LANARKSHIRE ADULT PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES
Lanarkshire Mind Matters is run by NHS Lanarkshire Psychological Services. As psychological professionals, we offer a range of services for a range of needs. We try to help with mental-health problems ranging from mild stresses right through to complex and long-standing difficulties. Our aim is to improve Lanarkshire’s psychological wellbeing, and to make a positive difference to people’s lives.
One of the things that psychological professionals do is provide one-to-one therapy. But therapy isn’t always the most useful option, and there are lots of other ways that we can help. We aim to offer the most useful thing at the most useful time, whatever that might be. For example, it might be an online course, or something you can do straight away to help yourself.
That’s where this website, Lanarkshire Mind Matters, comes in. It links you with things we offer online for adults across Lanarkshire. It gives you information about ways you can help yourself. And it links to other high-quality sources of information and advice.
Psychological wellbeing & Covid-19
The Covid-19 (coronavirus) pandemic has had a huge impact on everybody. Coping with this ‘new normal’ is a big challenge, and it is completely understandable to be finding things hard right now. Have a look at our Covid-19 page for useful information, advice and links.
Like all our colleagues in NHS Lanarkshire, Psychological Services have had to make big changes to how we work. Using video technology for appointments is a key part of that, and we are also doing lots of work by phone.
We plan to use this website as a way of providing useful help and advice for everyone across Lanarkshire as we all move forward in these uncertain times.
